Distractions

There are so many distractions. Writing is inherently quiet, one of those unobtrusive activities that can always be shunted aside if it doesn't come with deadlines and paychecks attached. I love it, I love the pleasure it gives me, but every now and then I realize I haven't gotten around to doing any in a while. No particular reason, just busy with things more demanding of immediate attention and tangible results.
